Silver Attrition Hoop Earring

The Silver Attrition Earring is a minimal earring with a huggie style hinge and an uneven texture. The earring is made from Rhodium plated 925 Sterling Silver and is made from the same materials as our hallmarked items.

This classic earring boasts a soft, wavy texture, inspired by the wearing down of rocks in the ocean or in streams. Attrition is the process of erosion that occurs during rock collision and transportation and it is partially responsible for turning boulders into smaller rocks and eventually to sand. The resulting texture on the earring is a smooth, uneven surface reminiscent of a pebble or water. The Attrition Earring is finished in a premium Rhodium Silver plating that won't discolour or age. Rhodium plating is a premium Silver coloured plating that gives the jewellery a polished, reflective finish. As it is part of the platinum metal family, it is harder than gold so provides jewellery with a durable surface which resists tarnish.

The earring has a hinge at the mid point, creating an easy-to-use, huggie style fastening. The earring size & shape fits the ear comfortably without being too big. The outer diameter of the earring is 1.2cm and the needle is approx 1mm thick.
