We offer every weight and style of men's neck chain - from fine chains to heavy Perle pieces. Sterling silver or gold-plated sterling silver, slim or chunky, alone or stacked, we've got you covered.
This depends on how you want to wear it. Our 1.5mm and 2.5mm curb chains sit close to the neck and are built for layering under a pendant. From 3mm upwards, wear the chain solo to more of a statement, scaling right up to the 8mm, 10mm and 12mm Perle pieces for serious weight. Length is listed on each product page in cm - if you're layering more than one chain, a slightly longer length on the outer piece stops them sitting on top of each other.
Every one of our silver chains is 925 sterling silver. Every gold chain is the same sterling silver base with 14ct gold plating over the top, so you get the same weight and design in either finish, both hallmarked at the Great British Assay Offices. Our silver chains are rhodium-plated to slow tarnishing and keep the finish bright, though sterling silver can still dull naturally over time - store yours somewhere dry and give it a wipe with a soft cloth after wear.
The finer 1.5mm and 2.5mm curb chains are designed to layer well with a pendant or a second chain. Heavier pieces like the Figaro, Rope, Wheat and Dynasty chains have more presence and work best worn on their own or as the statement piece in a stack.
Men’s Chains Customer FAQs
What thickness chain should I buy?
This will depend on how you want to wear it. Our 1.5mm and 2.5mm curb chains sit close to the neck for layering, while anything from 3mm up works well as a standalone statement piece, right up to our 8mm–12mm Perle range.
What length should a men's chain be?
Length is listed on each individual product page in cm. If you're layering more than one chain, a slightly longer length on the outer piece stops them sitting on top of each other - our Size Guide has more detail.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Our silver chains are rhodium-plated to slow tarnishing, but sterling silver can still dull naturally over time. Store it somewhere dry and wipe it with a soft cloth after wear - see our Care Guide for the full routine.
What's the difference between your silver and gold chains?
Every silver chain is 925 sterling silver. Every gold chain is the same sterling silver base with 14ct gold plating, so both give you the same weight and design - just a different finish. Both are hallmarked by the Great British Assay Offices.
Can I layer more than one chain?
Yes - our 1.5mm and 2.5mm curb chains are designed to sit close to the neck specifically so they layer well with a pendant or a second chain. Heavier styles like the Figaro or Dynasty chain work best worn as the statement piece on their own.
Are your chains hallmarked?
Yes. Every piece carries the full UK hallmarks: sponsor's mark, fineness mark, millesimal fineness mark, Great British Assay Office mark and year mark.
