Set by: Shopify, which hosts our store, and Cloudflare, which provides security and performance.

2. PERFORMANCE AND ANALYTICS COOKIES

Purpose: These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Website, so we can improve its performance and make it easier to use.

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

What they record: Pages you visit, time spent on pages, products viewed, search terms used, referral sources, device and browser information, and anonymous demographic data.

Duration: Up to 24 months.

Set by: Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and Hotjar.

Hotjar also records anonymised session replays and heatmaps, which show us how people move through the site. These recordings exclude anything you type into form fields, including your payment details.

3. FUNCTIONAL COOKIES

Purpose: These cookies remember the choices you make and provide enhanced, personalised features.

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Examples: Currency and region preferences, recently viewed items, customer service and Help Centre cookies, product review cookies, and cookies that identify you to our email platform so we can recognise you across visits.

Duration: Session, or up to 24 months.

Set by: Shopify, Swap Commerce (which handles pricing, duties and taxes on international orders), Klaviyo (our email platform), Gorgias (our customer service and Help Centre), and Feefo (our reviews provider).

4. TARGETING AND ADVERTISING COOKIES

Purpose: These cookies are used to show you advertising that is relevant to you, on our Website and on other websites. They track your browsing habits and are used to build a picture of what you are interested in.

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

What they do: Track which products you have viewed, remember items in your basket, measure how well our advertising works, limit how often you see the same advertisement, show you personalised product recommendations, and enable retargeting campaigns.

Duration: Up to 24 months.

Set by: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat.

SHOPIFY COOKIES

As our Website is powered by Shopify, certain cookies are set by Shopify to enable the store to work. These include _ab (A/B testing of new features), _secure_session_id (secure navigation through the store), cart (basket contents), cart_sig (validates basket integrity), cart_ts (basket timestamp), checkout_token (checkout session), secret (secure checkout), secure_customer_sig (customer login) and storefront_digest (validates store integrity).

OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

As well as cookies, we use web beacons (also called pixel tags) — small graphic images embedded in web pages or emails that tell us when a page has been viewed or an email opened; local storage, which stores data in your browser in a similar way to cookies but with more capacity; and session replay tools, which record how you move through the site, as described under Performance and Analytics above.

1. Our cookie banner. When you first visit the Website you will see a cookie banner. 5. Do Not Track. Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no agreed industry standard for how websites should respond to it, so we do not currently respond to it. Use the cookie banner or your browser settings instead.

CONSENT AND WITHDRAWING CONSENT

We only set performance, functional and targeting cookies once you have accepted them through our cookie banner. Continuing to browse the Website is not consent, and we do not treat it as such.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by: using the cookie settings link in the footer of the Website, adjusting your browser settings, clearing your cookies, or contacting us at orders@sergedenimes.com.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
