The Silver Rose Necklace is the ultimate summer vibe. Wear this vibey necklace and embrace the summer. Or use it as a way of always having a piece of summer with you throughout our 11-month winter in the UK... You can also layer it with the Silver Razor Necklace.
The Necklace was born out of the travels of our Creative Director Oliver Proudlock. When he visited The Bahamas in 2018, he was stunned by the invasion of nature across all of the islands. His creative inspiration and mother Lena Proudlock calls The Bahamas her home currently, and the rose is a simple, yet meaningful symbol that represents his childhood icon's new home in the Bahamas, as well as his own home of London.
The Rose is considered a symbol of balance. The Rose is also the national flower of England, dating back to 1455 with the War of the Roses. There are 3 groups of roses; old roses, modern roses & species roses. We think these 3 groups signify our growth as a brand perfectly and where culture is leading us for 2019.
The Necklace itself is manufactured of the highest quality Sterling Silver that is Hallmarked by the Assay Office with our own unique Hallmark. This can be identified globally by any trusted jewellers and the registration mark can be traced online.
The beauty of this flower expresses promise, hope, and new beginnings. It is contrasted by thorns symbolizing defense, loss, and thoughtlessness.
The Pendant features a blooming rose head and a stem of leaves with a clasp at the top attaching to the chain. Each leaf is unique on the design and intentionally not symmetrical. Like each Rose in the world, each is unique. The Pendant is on a Figaro silver chain with a light oxidise effect.
This product weights on average 9g. The height of the pendant is 3cm, the width is 1.3cm and 0.3mm thick. There is a heavy oxidisation on the outer layer of the silver which has been done through an intricate and rigorous process using a unique acid as the reducing agent. The Oxidised layer is thin, so if it is cleaned in the incorrect way then it may tarnish. The product is designed to last for a number of years if looked after properly.
