Serge meets Brian Altemus
How long have you been modelling?
I’ve been modeling for two years now (that’s really weird to put in to writing, the time has completely flown by).
How were you scouted?
I was scouted at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. I was there with my buddy Abdelrahmen Elsergany during my senior year spring break.
We heard you were at university, what are you studying?
Well I was at University for a year in the States, however I’ve now left that school to pursue the modeling career.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Well, two years ago I would never have guessed that I would be here, answering these questions and I couldn’t be happier with where I am. So I really have no clue where I’ll be in five years, but I know that I’m someone who won’t pass up an opportunity that comes around. I’ve learned that as long as you commit yourself fully to what you’re doing in the moment, you’ll be very surprised to see where it can take you.
What’s your favourite part of London?
All the parks. There is an incredible amount of space in the city devoted to green, lush parks that serve as a relaxing ground for many, and workout space for others. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
What would be your dream brand to model for?
I would love to be a model for Ralph Lauren. They’re so iconic, classic, and have that timeless American young gentleman vibe. Also I would definitely feel accomplished seeing myself on an advert for them.
When you are not modelling or studying, what do you do in your spare time?
You can find me wandering around London for now, as I’m constantly in awe of how amazingly beautiful this city is. I spend a lot of time dreaming about a beach somewhere with Noosa-esque waves. So naturally I am always on surfline.com checking out their new stories and reports from surf spots around the world. Yet again you can find me on a run and workout in Crystal Palace Park.
Favourite piece from the Serge DeNimes collection?
The Navy Brush SDN Long Sleeve for sure. I love the feel of a comfy long sleeve that can still be stylish.
